The Armed Forces Service Center in Minnesota provides
members of the United States Armed Forces who are traveling
through the Twin Cities area with a free place to rest and
relax. It includes a lounge, kitchen, sleeping rooms, big-screen
televisions and free Wi-Fi. Since it operates as a non-profit
organization, the center is staffed mostly by volunteers 24
hours a day, seven days a week. Opened in 1970, this travel
oasis for military personnel has served more than 800,000
servicemen and women.
