Airbus Selects ODIN technologies As RFID Hardware Integration Partner

Airbus has selected ODIN technologies for a multi-year engagement as its exclusive worldwide RFID hardware integration partner. ODIN will provide solution design, deployment, testing and support services for the first of three phases to provide real-time automated visibility across the Airbus value chain. Airbus plans to employ ODIN expertise for numerous projects throughout its supply chain and assembly operations, and make ODIN's RFID services and performance optimization software available to Airbus suppliers and customers.

"We were impressed with ODIN's RFID expertise and global experience and look forward to a collaboration that will set the standard for the innovative use of RFID in the aerospace industry," said Carlo K. Nizam, head of value chain visibility and RFID for Airbus.

"Airbus has one of the most advanced visions for the use of RFID we have seen. It is using the real-time visibility that RFID enables to reduce cost, increase quality and drive a competitive advantage. The Airbus team knows how important it is to get their RFID implementations right the first time and the value of a partner with singular focus, expertise and experience with large scale RFID deployments," said Patrick J. Sweeney II, CEO and president of ODIN technologies.
