See You At ISC West

I’m getting ready for all the whoopla centered around ISC West in Las Vegas. It’s not my favorite city, but it is one of my favorite tradeshows. SIA does a fantastic job promoting this show, and staff from Reed Exhibitions make sure it comes off without a hitch.

This year, during lunch on Thursday, there is a Meet the Press event where you can learn a little more about what it takes to get press releases and new products noticed by trade publications and editors. I suspect this session is mostly geared toward the smaller manufacturer and those who are attending with one or two new products.

I’m looking forward to meeting you and talking about highlighting your work in our magazine. Meet the Press will take place in room 1002 of the convention center.

Security Products magazine is just that -- a magazine that will help you highlight your product so that dealers and end users will have a better understanding of what you're trying to achieve, the benefits of your new product and why people should be interested.

ISC West also has been promoting new products for quite some time with its own product judging event. It’s so successful that manufacturers have lined up for years to get a shot at winning the prestigious award.

And, it’s such a good idea that we’re going to host our own New Product of the Year award later this year. More details are available on our Web site (http://www.secprodonline.com) and entry forms will be available at our booth (2055). We’re excited to help further the cause of security and technology.

It’s time to pack the bags and check the airplane tickets. Las Vegas or bust.
