Avigilon Software Now Supports Panasonic, Axis, Sony IP Cameras

Avigilon recently announced that the company’s Avigilon Control Center High Definition (HD) surveillance software now offers support for industry leading cameras developed by Panasonic, Axis and Sony.

Avigilon has joined the Panasonic Solution Developer Network, the Axis Application Development Partner Network, and the Sony IPELA Security Solutions Affiliate Program as part of the company’s commitment to delivering an open and integrated HD and megapixel video surveillance solution.

“In an effort to help our customers implement comprehensive security solutions, we are committed to ensuring that our HD and megapixel video surveillance solution integrates with the industry’s leading IP cameras,” said Dave Tynan, vice president of global sales at Avigilon.

Avigilon Control Center 4.0 will record and manage video from a wide range of third party IP cameras and analog encoders for the purpose of building hybrid systems and preserving existing assets. Management of surveillance video from third party cameras and analog encoders will be in their native compression format, including H.264, MPEG4 or MJPEG.

Avigilon Control Center is the HD network video management software with High Definition Stream Management (HDSM) that delivers full situational awareness and detail, leading to faster response times, reduced investigation times, and superior overall protection.

Avigilon Control Center is available as stand alone software or pre-installed and configured on Avigilon HD NVRs.
