Cypress Computer Systems, Veridt Expand Partnership

Cypress Computer Systems Inc. announced recently it is further expanding its strategic partnership with Veridt Inc. for integration of its wireless interface devices into Veridt’s applied biometric/smartcard technology.

This will further expand Cypress offerings developed under this partnership to include: multi-factor mobile handheld wireless credential readers designated MobileGate as well as wireless handheld readers utilizing most common reader technologies, including Farpointe, HID 125KHz, iClass and other open standards.

The result of this effort is a comprehensive family of mobile and fixed wireless readers for ID Verification and Physical Access. Cypress and Veridt debuted the newly expanded offerings at ISC West.

Cypress Computer Systems Inc. designs, develops and manufactures data, access control and security related products. Today, Cypress products are used for a variety of AC/S functions, including wireless communications for remote parking lot gate controllers, remote buildings and elevator shafts.

Veridt designs, develops and markets integrated reader products and software combining fingerprint biometrics and applied technologies for enterprise applications, and physical/logical access security requirements. Applied technologies combined with fingerprint biometrics include smart card technologies, other data storage forms, specialized software and applications specific communication protocols to create fixed based as well as mobile, wireless and portable biometric-based solutions.
