Honeywell Power Products Releases Free Applications Tools and Resources

Honeywell Power Products has created a new library of materials to assist specifiers, dealers and distributors in the application of power supplies for video, intrusion, access control and fire alarm installations. An all-new applications guide, product catalog and resource CD are now available free-of-charge.

The applications guide encompasses a comprehensive power supply cross-reference chart, AutoCAD files and detailed data sheets on more than 200 power supplies from Honeywell. Available as a tabulated 3-ring binder, product information is organized for the convenience of specifiers, dealers and distributors. A new, full-size product catalog of information on every power supply Honeywell produces has been specifically designed for the needs of distributors' busy sales personnel. Created in response to feedback from security equipment distributors throughout the U.S., this product catalog includes each unit's output voltage, amps, dimensions, UL Listing status and, most importantly, a scannable bar code for quick order processing.

Honeywell Power Products' resource CD encompasses all of the aforementioned product documentation, plus battery calculation spreadsheets, wire charts and the HPP-Calc voltage-drop calculations program. The HPP-Calc is an interactive graphics tool designed to determine voltage parameters of a specific fire alarm's NAC (notification appliance circuit). Fire alarm system designers can optimize circuits easily by using HPP-Calc to evaluate NAC devices and their location on a circuit along with conductor size and maximum current draw.
