Bosch Security Systems Chooses ComNet To Develop Fiber Optic Ethernet Interface For Camera Line

ComNet Communication Networks has been selected by Bosch Security Systems to develop a fiber optic Ethernet interface to be integrated into the AutoDome line of TCP/IP dome cameras.

“By adding ComNet Ethernet products to our offering, Bosch can now provide our customers with a quality Ethernet-over-fiber solution for our AutoDome camera series,” said Frank Pudlo, product manager with Bosch Security Systems. “This unique SFP based optical fiber solution will allow users access to increased distances and bandwidth.”

Bosch offers physical security solutions that include CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems. These are all applications that require a reliable transmission medium to operate correctly. Bosch has been integrating the use of fiber optic transmission for its systems, but due to the growing demand for the reliability and widespread use of IP video, turned to ComNet for an Ethernet solution.

“ComNet is very proud to add Bosch to the growing list of strategic partners who have chosen ComNet to provide fiber optic and Ethernet transmission solutions,” said Steven Carrozzo, ComNet vice president of sales. “We look forward to a long and beneficial relationship to Bosch, their customers and ComNet.”
