IPVideo Corp. Joins ONVIF

IPVideo Corp., the developer and manufacturer of DynaView network-based physical security solutions, announced recently the company has joined the ONVIF.

Established in 2008, ONVIF is a global and open industry forum that is committed to the adoption of network video in the security market. The ONVIF specification defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata. Developing a common protocol is important to the continued growth of the network-based physical security information management market,” said Paul Galburt, vice president of development at IPVideo. “We have been committed to open standards for over a decade and organizations such as ONVIF help ensure that IPVideo’s VMS and PSIM products will continue to lead the industry with support for a broad list of leading IP surveillance components and solutions.”
