Expo Seguridad está creciendo. Por lo menos eso es los que dice Alan Forman, un gurú de seguridad y presidente y CEO de Altronix. El conoce al Expo como si fuera unos de sus hijos: Ha atendido el Expo cada año desde su creación en el 2002 y planea tener una presencia más grande en el 2011.

Parte de su plan es asegurar el futuro del mercado de videovigilancia red y espandir su compañia al mercado emergente de América del Sur. Su otro objetivo es mostrar que "Hecho en America" es importante para la industria de seguridad, especialmente cuando está compitiendo con China.

Por su puesto, Altronix es una compañia Americana.

"Expo Seguridad es una de las últimas ferias nuevas y refrescantes," dijo Forman. "La calidad de visitantes es refrescante. Ellos mostran un interés serio, trabajan duro y están calificados para estar en la industria."

Forman está en Ciudad México investigando la posibilidad de invertir en sistemas de integración. La ciudad tiene muchas tiendas de marca y un mercado financiero muy desarrollado, un sector que le interesa mucho.

"Esto es un show de amistades y relaciones personales que están bien desarrollado; Eso es lo que define los negocios aquí," dijo Forman. "Tienes que apoyar los representantes de los productors y el Expo. Y ellos te apoyan tambien."

Unos de los otros intereses de Forman es la Mission 500, un grupo de profesionales de seguridad filantrópico que ayuda a los pobres. En mi nota de editor final, voy a hablar más de está hermosa organización.

El mercado de seguridad en América Latina es muy íntimo: Cuando hablas con una persona, se siente cómo que estas hablando con la industria entera. Fernando Tomasiello, el vicepresidente senior de operaciones y ventas internacionales de Samsung Security, dice que la industria de seguridad en América Latina está basado en relaciones.

Quizás eso es porque Samsung pudo capturar un proyecto de videovigilancia en Ciudad México. Además, es unos de los proyectos más grandes que ha hecho la compañia. América Latina es unos de los mercados principales para Samsung.

"La gente le encanta el Expo por la tecnología," dijo Tomasiello. "Es la feria de industria más importante de América Latina en estos momentos."

Y yo le creo. Los profesionales que atendieron el Expo estaban muy informados sobre la industria de seguridad. Expo Seguridad fue unas de las mejores ferias que he hido.
