IMS Research Recognizes Hikvision as No.1 DVR Supplier Worldwide

IMS Research’s World Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment Report 2010 has confirmed Hikvision as the No.1 supplier of DVR products worldwide. In addition, Hikvision was also ranked No.5 in the CCTV and video surveillance equipment category in the world, a significant jump from last year’s ninth position.

"Hikvision has continued to grow healthily and rapidly in recent years,” said Gary Wong, analyst of IMS Research. “Despite the economic downturn, Hikvision remained the world’s largest provider of DVR products in terms of revenue market share in 2009; an impressive achievement for a company that has been active in the market for less than 10 years.”

“We are pleased to note that the IMS report confirms our achievements in the video surveillance market,” said Polo Cai, vice president of Hikvision. “This result shows Hikvision’s ongoing and proven capability to provide industry-leading products and solutions for our customers and helps to transit our voice to the world.

“In addition to our efforts in product development and innovation, we also make great strides to have our products integrated with software or hardware from our partners. These help us a lot on wining remarkable performance in the security industry and satisfying the customers’ needs.”
