Salient Stills Adds Video Forensic Subscription Option

Salient Stills, which specializes in video forensics and image enhancement, recently announced an annual subscription option for VideoFOCUS Pro, the company's flagship video forensics software. In addition to the existing method of purchasing the system and annual service and support, VideoFOCUS Pro is also now available for a monthly subscription fee, including service and support.

"No other video forensics vendor offers subscriptions, so this radically changes the market's dynamics,” said Laura Teodosio, president and CEO of Salient Stills. “By removing the upfront cost barrier of $25,000 or more, and making the technology accessible to any law enforcement agency, for a subscription fee of $500 per month, we're transforming the industry. Local, state, federal and international law enforcement agencies can more easily and quickly apply proven video forensics technology, developed over the past 10 years, to their investigations, as an operating expense."

"The VideoFOCUS Pro v3.1 annual subscription system is exactly the same as the existing version, which is in use by hundreds of investigative agencies in over 20 countries and throughout the United States," Teodosio said. "With this option, and VideoFOCUS Pro's ease of use, investigators can instantly apply video forensics to crime scene video, and more quickly advance investigations. Customers and prospects are already responding very positively to this."

VideoFOCUS Pro uses processing algorithms and is an ideal video forensics tool for law enforcement. In a single application, VideoFOCUS Pro encompasses what can otherwise require multiple video capture and processing applications.

VideoFOCUS Pro subscriptions are available now in the U.S. and Canada, and will be extended to other countries at a later date.
