Stanley CSS Purchases Pyramid Alarm Inc.

Stanley Convergent Security Solutions Inc. (Stanley CSS) recently announced the purchase of the alarm business of Pyramid Alarm Inc., a security company headquartered in Lansing, Ill.

Pyramid Alarm has been in business since 1978 and has expertise in installing, servicing, inspecting, maintaining and monitoring intrusion alarms, fire alarms, access control and video surveillance systems.

The purchase of the business operations includes commercial, residential and municipal customers in the Illinois and Indiana markets.  Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

“The acquisition of Pyramid Alarm continues our commitment to growing our electronic security platform strategically in the United States,” said Tony Byerly, president and COO, Stanley CSS North America and United Kingdom Direct. “We are excited to add more density to our customer base in the Illinois and Indiana markets. The addition of Pyramid Alarm creates additional efficiencies for our existing operations in those markets and solidifies our relationship with local law enforcement and municipalities across Chicagoland.

“As we continue to expand, we look forward to working with our new customers by upholding Stanley CSS’s commitment and dedication to operational excellence across the five customer touchpoints: account management, installation, service, monitoring and billing.  Acquiring a well-run company with a great reputation in a local market, such as Pyramid Alarm, only builds upon our ‘best of the best’ approach to business and our commitment to excellence.”

Pyramid Alarm’s customers will be serviced by the existing Stanley CSS office located in Downers Grove, Ill.
