Schlage and Identification Systems Group Partner to Deliver Credential Issuance Solutions

Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, a leading global provider of security and safety solutions and manufacturer of Schlage contactless smart credentials and readers, and Identification Systems Group (ISG) have partnered to deliver innovative printing, personalization, enrollment and issuance products.  The partnership pairs Schlage technology with the expansive expert network of ISG Members in North America.

Trends in security convergence and identity management make it vital to streamline the credential issuance process and its activation.  The ISG developed an automated method of issuing the credentials using Datacard® ID card printers.  When the contactless credential is being printed, the ISG system will read the access control number from the secure Schlage sector and populate the access control database to increase efficiency and throughput.  For other applications, the system can write information and keys to any sector of the contactless credential.  In addition, the powerful ISG synchronization tools allow for data to be sent to other applications that need it.

"Our customers have asked us for a more automated credential issuance process and the partnerships help us deliver on that,” says John Menzel, director of business development for Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies.  “Paired with ISG’s expansive network of members, we’re able to offer this solution on a much larger scale.  This partnership represents our commitment to help offer expanded credential solutions to our customers."

“The integration between these two technology companies has given our members and customers a valuable alternative to proprietary solutions on the market today,” emphasizes Roger Sigler, executive director of ISG.
