Camera-Maker Expands Production Capability by 23 Percent

Luminera Corp., which manufactures and develops high-performance digital cameras and custom-imaging solutions for scientific, industrial and surveillance markets, is expanding its manufacturing facility in Ottawa, where it is headquartered, to meet market demand for custom and OEM cameras, the company announced.

Increased orders for Lumenera’s customized camera services are the driving force behind the expansion, which will increase manufacturing space by 70 percent and boost camera production capacity by 23 percent. This will likely further reduce Luminera’s turnaround times.

“The expansion of our camera production facilities is a testament to Lumenera’s continuous growth and development,” said Rob Sample, Luminera’s manufacturing manager. “We are excited to ramp up production and further improve our efficiency and turnaround times to ensure customer satisfaction.”

Expansion should be completed in early December.
