Fiber Optic Security Company Wins Australian Export Award

Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) has been named the Australian Exporter of the Year and has won the Small to Medium Manufacturer Award at the 2010 Australian Export Awards ceremony.

The National Award follows the company winning the Victorian Export Awards earlier this year.

FFT is a designer and manufacturer of fiber optic intrusion detection systems that are used to protect the perimeters of sensitive sites including military bases, airports, petrochemical plants and refineries all over the world.

The company's systems provide advanced intrusion detection capability to fences, underground pipelines and cables. Its patented technology can readily interface with a broad range of software, including CCTV systems, gates, plus a broad range of external devices and systems.

CEO Rob Broomfield said he was absolutely thrilled with the award and the recognition of FFT’s international achievements.

“The award recognizes our focus on innovation and the quality of our product in the international market,” Broomfield said, “and the enormity of the market means exciting growth potential for our products in the future.”
