Berk-Tek Appoints Simmons Copper Product Manager

Copper and fiber optic cabling technology and solutions leader Berk-Tek, a Nexans company, has appointed Brian Simmons to the position of copper product manager.

Reporting to Todd Harpel, director of marketing, Simmons will be responsible for managing the copper cable product line to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve operating profit. In doing so, Simmons will be the key interface between customers, internal sales teams, reps, manufacturing and engineering for the company's twisted-pair copper cable products, manufactured at the New Holland, Pa., facility.

Simmons has been with the company for 20 years and has held various positions in the organization. Most recently he was inside sales manager and OEM sales service manager and inside sales account manager.

“With his long-term company experience, in-depth knowledge of Berk-Tek products and existing customer relations, Brian will easily transition into this role and be an asset to our sales and marketing team,” stated Harpel.

For more than 45 years, Berk-Tek has been manufacturing more than 100 different network copper and fiber optic cable products. The company has led in the development of high- performance and enhanced fiber optic and UTP cables designed to transport high-speed data and voice transmissions.
