AGT Partners with Chinese Agencies to Improve Urban Management

AGT International, a global public safety and security solutions organization, has signed partnership agreements with four Chinese government agencies designed to improve the nation’s urban management systems.

Those agencies and the improvements are detailed below:

Ministry of Water Resources ─ The development of advanced flood management solutions using AGT’s Smart Dike technology to protect China’s river embankments and reservoirs and offer unique emergency response applications that support communities before and during flood disaster activities.

International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (ICCNDRC) ─The establishment of a joint working group to manage the delivery of emergency response systems and solutions for urban public safety monitoring and prediction, and research and development focused on management and environmental protection and water monitoring. The working group will collaborate with environmental protection, water resource and other government departments.

The ICCNDRC and Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Government ─The completion of research and development and a pilot project to upgrade public safety, environmental monitoring, forecasting and emergency response services in the Shijiazhuang municipality. The agreement will involve the establishment of a joint working group comprising AGT, the commission and the government of the Shijiazhuang Municipality.

National Academy for Mayors of China ─ Training of city leaders of major Chinese cities in urban management, public safety, emergency response systems and flood and environment control. The training will further the mayors’ understanding of complex urban management issues and the available public safety and emergency response systems.

Mati Kochavi, founder and chief executive officer, said, "The agreements we have signed are reflective of AGT’s ongoing commitment to the Chinese market and the active role AGT intends to play in supporting the historic growth and progress currently occurring in Chinese cities. I am very pleased to have this opportunity to work with these agencies in strategic partnerships to keep their citizens safe and their cities flourish. AGT understands the importance of maintaining and managing critical infrastructure and is committed to cooperating with the People’s Republic of China to develop cutting-edge technology solutions to address the country’s needs.”

Wu Wenxiang, director general, Science and Technology Promotion Center for Ministry of Water Resources, said, “The advanced technologies developed by AGT International will assist the People’s Republic of China in shifting from traditional water resources management to a more efficient and sustainable approach. This agreement provides us with an exciting opportunity for a breakthrough in the creation of an advanced management system that will protect our river embankments and provide our citizens with early flood warnings. The solutions provided by AGT International are truly innovative, and will give us a foundation for the continued security of our national infrastructure. We are happy to be able to benefit from AGT’s success in implementing public safety solutions in other parts of the world by adopting these highly effective technologies to our nation’s water management system.”
