Samsung Kickoff Meeting

Samsung Techwin America's Sales Force Braves Winter Weather to Kick Off 2011

Samsung Techwin America kicked off the new year with a gathering of Samsung's North American and Latin American sales force Jan. 12 at the Marriott Glenpointe Hotel in Teaneck, N.J. The Samsung sales and marketing leadership team and manufacturer's representatives braved the snow and freezing temperatures to gather for the 2011 kick-off meeting to get an update on the latest from Samsung Techwin America, including information on the company’s expanding IP product range, new marketing initiatives for 2011, and additions to the growing customer service and technical support teams and programs.

“This meeting reflects the incredible growth that we have experienced over the past twelve months, and we’re very pleased to have kicked off the new year by gathering some of the best sales professionals in the business,” said Samsung’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Frank DeFina. “In 2011, Samsung will continue to differentiate itself in the market through our technology leadership, IP product and systems offerings, and the immense economic value that is the Samsung brand.”

Breakout sessions highlighted Samsung's megapixel cameras, analog and IP video systems, as well as new network-based video products and a new integrated access-control product line. Samsung continues to develop new analog and network DSP chipsets, which results in products that provide additional features and better performance.

“There is a tangible excitement at the meeting this year – you can feel it. People are really excited about what they are seeing and where we will be a year from now,” David Solhaug, president of Northwest Video & Security LLC.
