Veracity Hires Andy Aitchison for Senior Sales Role
Veracity has hired Andy Aitchison as its new strategic accounts manager as the company accelerates its expansion. Aitchison will be leading Veracity’s push into burgeoning markets for its products, including hospitals, prisons, education, transport, logistics, utilities and city centers.
Aitchison was previously major accounts manager at Sanyo. He also held senior sales positions at both Norbain and Mitsubishi Electric.
Aitchison explained the move: “I’m very pleased to be joining Veracity at a time when it is set for major growth following the initial success of COLDSTORE and as adoption of HD drives customers towards upgrading their aging CCTV systems. This is a business that really understands the technology and is continually developing innovative solutions having identified clear needs in the market. It’s also great to be working for such a successful security business based in Scotland, where I’m based.”
Aitchison grew up in Edinburgh and relocated his family back to his hometown from St. Albans a few years ago.
Alastair McLeod, managing director and founder of Veracity UK Limited added, ”We have already worked closely with Andy whilst he was at Sanyo and found he encapsulates that rare combination of sales brilliance and strong technical engineering capability. He is a great asset to our growing team.”
