Charlotte, N.C. Chooses Intergraph Incident Management Software

Intergraph, a provider of incident management solutions, announced recently that the City of Charlotte, N.C., has chosen Intergraph's incident management solution to enhance emergency response and interoperability between their public safety agencies.

The city will use Intergraph's map-based computer-aided dispatch (CAD), mobile technology, automatic vehicle location and interoperability software.

The implementation will extend the Intergraph CAD and mobile technology already in place at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) to include call-taking and dispatch at the city's Fire Department. The consolidated system will improve operational efficiency at both agencies, which serve a population of approximately 1 million.

"Intergraph's incident management software increases our ability to serve the public by helping us mobilize resources to respond quickly and effectively to emergency incidents," said Ranjit Raju, IT manager, Charlotte Fire Department.

"Intergraph's incident management solution enables Charlotte's first responders to access real-time data from multiple sources in a single interface," said John Graham, president, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure. "Our interoperability software further ensures that agencies can share critical information for multi-agency response."
