“As Numara Software continues to evolve and help our customers meet new business challenges, we sought a leader who had direct experience helping IT administrators and CIOs achieve their goals,” said Numara Chairman of the Board John Burton. “Dave’s accomplishments at CA make him an outstanding choice to lead the company into a new era of growth.”

Hansen previously led the Security Business Unit and also served as CA’s chief information officer, where he developed a reputation as the company’s best and toughest customer. As CIO he was tasked with implementing the company’s global IT strategy, applications development and IT compliance as well as managing the global CA infrastructure.

Hansen succeeds David Weiss on Numara’s board, who after nine successful years leading Numara has decided to pursue other business ventures and charitable activities.
