James O'Brien Joins VPS Inc. as Vice President of Sales

VPS Inc., provider of vacant property services and security, announced the appointment of Jim O'Brien as vice president of sales in the United States. In this new role, O'Brien will be responsible for continuing VPS's influence of securing vacant properties and protecting communities nationwide.

U.S. “With nearly 25 years of sales experience in the security industry, and a proven track record in sales leadership, business operations and business development, Jim has the ideal background and training for ultimately helping to drive VPS sales in the United States.”

Prior to joining VPS, O'Brien was Midwest general manager for UTC Fire and Security; regional enterprise manager of Johnson Controls; and director of sales for McDaniel Fire Systems. He also served as district general manager for Protection One in Oak Brook, Ill. where he was responsible for four fully-staffed offices during its changes in branch management. O'Brien started his career at ADT Security Services as systems manager responsible for large systems sales throughout the Chicago area.

O'Brien earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Illinois and an associate’s degree from the College of Dupage in Wheaton, Ill. He currently resides in St. Charles, Ill.
