mobiDEOS Retains Former Police Chief Stephen Cercone as Law Enforcement Advisor

Video surveillance and remote monitoring company mobiDEOS has added former police chief Stephen M. Cercone as law enforcement advisor, contributing industry knowledge and years of experience as the company intensifies its law enforcement strategy. Cercone will lead the company’s efforts in the public safety and law enforcement markets.

Cercone, a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va., recently retired after 29 years in law enforcement. Cercone also served with the San Mateo (Calif.) Police Department and the Bellevue (Wash.) Police Department, with experiences including police administration, criminal investigation and SWAT team deployment.

mobiDEOS offers its MobileCamViewer for commercial and residential security systems, providing secure, carrier-grade, video surveillance and remote monitoring solutions over cell phones, tablets and other mobile devices. The company recently introduced WebView, which provides a fixed video surveillance and remote solution for desktop/laptop users.

MobileCamViewer and WebView work with a variety of professional IP cameras, servers and recording systems. Customers also have freedom of choice in operating system (including MAC) and mobile device (including BlackBerry, Android, iPad, iPhone and Windows Media).

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
