Come, Celebrate the Anniversary

When you attend a tradeshow, you expect certain educational events. I believe we have added a new angle of education to this year’s ASIS event in Orlando.

Several months in the planning, Security Products magazine is hosting a roundtable discussion and 15th anniversary party that will focus on IP cameras and networks. It also just happens to be the 15th anniversary of the IP camera, and the same anniversary of Security Products magazine.

We’re pleased to share the same birth date of such a prestigious technology.

On Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 9 to 11 a.m., we will be hosting a roundtable discussion with industry experts.

This little project all came about during a breakfast meeting in Birmingham, U.K., while visiting with Juliette Gustavsson of Milestone. To be honest, this was her vision, but soon enough I found it squarely on my stack of things to do. Of course, that meant finding a few more panel participants, which now include Eric Fullerton, chief sales and marketing officer of Milestone Systems; and Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of the Americas, for Axis Communications. Other experts joining the group are Bud Broomhead, Intransa; Lee Caswell, Pivot3; Mike McCann, Sony Electronics, Inc.; Gary Wong, IMS Research; and Bill Taylor; Panasonic.

The event will be located in Room W110B, just a few steps off the tradeshow floor. I promise the walk to the forum will be well worth it, if not only for the anniversary cake but the discussion of the evolution of the IP camera and IP network.

There is limited space and seating in the room, so I encourage you to sign up by going to clicking here. Our own anniversary will not overshadow the event, but it truly has been a party in the making.
