AVI-SPL’s Control Room Group and SureView Systems Develop PSIM Testing and Training Center

AVI-SPL’s Control Room Group, a provider of mission critical control room and physical security systems has partnered with SureView Systems, developer of Immix, a video-based automation platform for the security industry, to develop a complete solution for customers running their own command and control centers and who need to tie disparate physical security systems together.

With this partnership, the companies have developed a physical security information management (PSIM) testing and training center at AVI-SPL headquarters in Tampa, Fla. The physical security and control room technology lab will allow comprehensive testing, design and training for surveillance, video analytics, video streaming and storage, access control and mass notification all flowing through the Immix platform. The system includes technology from Bosch, Panasonic, Assa Abloy, Intransa, Milestone, VideoIQ, Salient and other manufacturers.

“We partnered with SureView to develop this testing and training center so our customers could simulate actual situations and events they may encounter in the field. Through these simulations, they can select the best-suited equipment for their application and train their staff in an environment focused on providing a high level of situational awareness, alarm response and productivity,” said Michael Spiessbach, market manager for the Control Room Group, AVI-SPL.

“Immix specializes in tying together disparate security equipment into a single PSIM platform. Combining the information and situational awareness of Immix with the latest control room technology provided by the AVI-SPL Control Room Group ensures security officers in the command center can access real-time information in the most efficient and effective way,” said Simon Morgan, technical director for SureView Systems.

A properly designed and integrated control room combined with Immix’s single operational platform allows owners, security directors and managers the ability to maximize the productivity of physical security guards, security officers and operators though improved situation awareness and real-time event monitoring, delivering an increase in the overall security of the monitored facilities.
