Security Products Magazine Launches New Website: Security Today

Security Products magazine, the only integrated product magazine reaching the entire security market, officially launched its new Security Today website at security-today.com.

While the previous Security Products website showcased only the Security Products print magazine, the new site was created to reflect the brand’s integrated media platform in a dynamic way. “With the new look, Security Today promises to deliver the same compelling content visitors expect from Security Products, but in a more exciting package,” said Sherleen Mahoney, Managing Editor for the site.

The Security Today home page has four main components: the slideshow, communities, the Reaction Blog, and the ability to search for content by product or market. The slideshow, which is updated weekly, highlights the most interesting and relevant content in the industry. A daily news section next to the slideshow features the most current industry news.

Below the slideshow and news items are the communities, each corresponding to the Security Products branded e-newsletters. The communities give visitors a more in-depth look at areas such as Dealers and Integrators, Government Security, Network-Centric Security, Education Security, and more. The home page also includes Reaction Blog, in which Security Products editors and featured guest bloggers share their perspectives on a range of compelling security topics and news.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
