SIA and SecuritySpecifiers.com Announce Collaborative Effort

SIA and SecuritySpecifiers.com Join Forces at ISC West

The Security Industry Association (SIA),  a trade group for businesses in the electronic and physical security market and SecuritySpecifiers.com,  an online resource for security designers, consultants, and specifiers, recently announced their working relationship to co-promote their organizations' goals and activities.

"SIA endorses the efforts of SecuritySpecifiers.com in promoting awareness and understanding of products and technologies of the security industry manufacturer community and in enhancing the visibility of security consultants and designers within the industry," said Don Erickson, CEO of SIA.

Erickson is on the SecuritySpecifiers.com advisory board, which provides strategic direction and guidance to the organization and includes several of the industry’s most notable consultants, integrators and other professionals.

“SIA has consistently been in the forefront of the security industry as an advocate of standards, knowledge, and professionalism,” said Ray Coulombe, managing director and founder of SecuritySpecifiers.com. “They are the unified voice of the industry, and we are proud to be associated with them.”

Coulombe is developing and moderating the SecuritySpecifiers.com “Crunch n' Learn” sessions at the ISC West conference on March 27. He will also be moderating the "Business Model Solutions for Hosted Video and Video Surveillance as a Service Deployment" session on March 29.  The conference is scheduled for March 27-30 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
