Jericho Systems Named Best Privacy Technology of 2012

Jericho systems' Enterspace Exchange PatientPortal was named one of the Best Privacy Technologies of 2012 during the Second International Summit on the Future of Health Privacy in Washington, D.C. Jericho Systems is a maker of attribute-based access control software.

“Jericho is proud to lead the industry in fine-grained access control software on our nation’s health information exchanges." said said David Staggs, CTO of Jericho Systems. "With the benefits of making health information available outside your doctor’s office comes the need to give patients the ability to monitor and limit those exchanges."

EnterSpace Exchange lets patients specify consent directives that control who can exchange their personal health information by categories (data segments). In addition, the software gives patients more control of the individual elements within their records. They could choose to let certain healthcare providers access their records while excluding others or prohibit providers from accessing certain aspects of their health records.

Overall, the capabilities increase privacy and security for healthcare systems that are sharing information between networks.
