BT Selects Cyber-Ark to Secure and Monitor Accounts

BT communications services company has deployed the Cyber-Ark Privileged Identity Management Suite to monitor and secure its privileged accounts. BT also plans to integrate the Cyber-Ark Suite into its existing portfolio of managed security services to sell to its growing customer base.

Cyber-Ark® Software is a global information security provider for protecting and managing critical applications, identities and sensitive information.

BT, which covers numerous business units and many geographical regions, required a single solution, standardized across the global organization that could easily scale, as required. This solution needed to complement BT’s existing security services, providing its customer base with proven privileged access management. BT reviewed the market and selected Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management Suite.

“Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management Suite really is a great, all-round solution – not only does it manage, secure and monitor our privileged accounts, it also allows us to maintain compliance with a number of regulations, such as SOX, which is hugely beneficial to us,” said Karon Davies, global security privilege access manager at BT. “Cyber-Ark’s solution has also been intelligently engineered, allowing us to easily sell it as a hosted service to businesses – ensuring that our customers also enjoy benefits from the solution.”

Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management Suite enables organizations to enforce an enterprise policy that protects a business’s most critical systems, managing the entire lifecycle of shared and privileged accounts across data centers. Also sold as a hosted service, Cyber-Ark’s solution could help businesses meet increasingly strict compliance regulations and audits.

“We are delighted that an organization of the size and caliber of BT has selected Cyber-Ark to secure not only its own privileged accounts, but also those of its customers,” said Nick Baglin, vice president of sales, EMEA at Cyber-Ark. “We are confident in our ability to match the rapidly expanding demands of this relationship and look forward to our alliance with BT going from strength to strength.”
