OnSSI's Ocularis Powers Surveillance at Presidential Debate

Allowing rapid deployment at special events and temporary installations, OnSSI's Ocularis video surveillance software will provide an added layer of security for the final Presidential Debate, held tonight at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla.

Thanks to its open-architecture, all-IP design, OnSSI’s Ocularis enabled the City of Boca Raton to expand its video surveillance system and provide video coverage of the locations and events surrounding the debate.

With this debate, OnSSI is continuing its tradition of taking part in the run-up to the presidential elections, which started in the 2008 campaign, when Ocularis was deployed for both the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, and the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.

OnSSI's Ocularis platform manages video feeds from a virtually unlimited number of cameras with immediate access to live views and recorded video via an intuitive user interface. It supports multiple-network operation, both wired and wireless, which allows municipalities and public safety agencies to extend the reach of their systems.

“Ocularis allows law enforcement officials to easily set up and manage large numbers of cameras from centralized, remote and mobile monitoring locations,” said Gadi Piran, President and CTO, OnSSI. “The open-architecture system is scalable to simplify the process of adding cameras as the municipality’s needs grow, and for special events such as this Presidential Debate.”
