Wipro and Infoblox Partnership Extends Network Control to Global Organizations

Infoblox Inc., an automated network control company, and Wipro Infotech, IT business unit of Wipro Ltd., today announced a global reseller arrangement to give businesses and public organizations greater control over their corporate IT networks.

“IT leaders are looking for technology solutions that help them grow their businesses, reduce costs and achieve the balance needed to influence business strategy while also providing top-notch IT support,” said Anuj Bhalla, VP & BU head, system integration and maintenance services, global infrastructure services with Wipro Limited. “As IT is becoming closely aligned to business, the need to reduce growing complexity in networks is becoming critical. Wipro and Infoblox are offering the right mix of technologies for telecom service providers, Internet service providers, and any other large enterprise having similar requirements.”

The increasing demands put on networks by mobile devices and bring-your-own-device programs, virtualization and private clouds, and the transition to IPv6 have created greater complexity and risk for IT teams to manage.

Through this reseller arrangement, Wipro will deliver Infoblox technology to help customers automate network control functions like DNS, DHCP and IPAM (known as DDI) to reduce complexity and costs, increase security and maximize uptime. Instead of adding manual processes and increasing network bandwidth, IT teams can more effectively control their networks and free up resources to focus on strategic projects that create business value.

“Global organizations are struggling to manage the complexity, risks and costs associated with the exponential growth of today’s corporate networks,” said David Gee, chief marketing officer, Infoblox. “The agreement with Wipro will extend the benefits of greater network control with Infoblox technology to more businesses globally.”

Through the reseller agreement, Wipro will offer global customers Infoblox solutions for discovery, real-time configuration and change management, and compliance for the control plane – the layer in between infrastructure, like switches and routers, and applications and endpoints, like IP phones or virtual machines.
