Southco Expands R4 EM Line with Sealed Corrosion Resistant Version for Outdoor ApplicationsSouthco, Inc., a solution provider of engineered access solutions, has recently expanded its R4-EM Electronic Rotary Latch product class to include a version suitable for outdoor environments. With its corrosion-resistant plated steel and stainless steel construction, and fully-sealed internal actuator, the R4-EM Outdoor provides reliable electronic locking that is resistant to moisture and dust.

The embedded electronic control allows for easy integration with an external control system, and flexible, concealed installation provides vandal-resistance, accommodating a variety of outdoor applications. With a high working load and ultimate load, the R4-EM Outdoor ensures reliable operation in demanding applications. Additionally, the R4-EM Outdoor accepts control inputs from any access control device and delivers optimal design flexibility in challenging environments.
