MicroPower Technologies Expands Sales Channel Growth

MicroPower Technologies Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, today announced that it achieved a 15x increase in revenue year over year thanks to continued technical innovation, infrastructure investments and additions to its sales network. The company experienced exponential growth in the stadium, education, defense and construction markets as demand for wireless technologies expanded.

"MicroPower is moving into the next evolution of its business," said Aaron Tankersley, President and CEO, MicroPower Technologies. "Over the past year, we've proven the value of a low power wireless perimeter solution and our expanded sales channels allow us to better serve customers and partners to accelerate our growth in years to come."

To further capitalize on market opportunities, MicroPower boosted the strength of its sales network with the addition of two new manufacturer's representatives. Combined, these firms give MicroPower a larger and more comprehensive national sales footprint to deliver its versatile and powerful portfolio of wireless surveillance technologies.

  • With 25+ years of experience in the security and surveillance markets, SVC Marketing will direct sales efforts on behalf of MicroPower Technologies throughout the North Central United States. SVC will provide a central point of contact for training, demonstrations, product specification, support and sales leads for MicroPower resellers.
  • iDeal SecuriTech will spearhead initiatives for MicroPower in the dynamic Caribbean and Latin American markets. The company's team accounts for more than 15 years of security system design, technical support, customer service and sales experience. It will work to introduce MicroPower's solutions to its robust network of dealers, system integrators and distributors.

MicroPower Technologies plans to further enhance the capabilities of its wireless video surveillance suite, focusing on delivering ultra-low power options while building upon its unique market advantages. Its recently released Helios IR Camera, which consumes less than 1/10th of the power of a standard IP camera, is equipped with an infrared (IR) illuminator to ensure day/night video recording in outdoor, low-light environments.

At this week's ASIS International Seminar & Exhibits, MicroPower Technologies will showcase its Helios surveillance solution at booth No. 4301. The ASIS conference is being held Sept. 24-26, 2013, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
