Gun Shots at Sparks Middle School in Nevada 

According to several major news sites, a gunman opened fire at a Sparks Middle School in Nevada this morning, critically wounding two male students, both of which are at Renown Regional Hospital.

A police spokesman related that students have been evacuated from the middle school to nearby Agnes Risley Elementary School and then moved to Sparks High School so that parents can pick up their children.

Streets in the area of Sparks Middle School are closed.

The story is developing; however, the most recent update is that police have given Sparks Middle School an “all clear” and the suspect is “down.”

Gov. Brian Sandoval said, “I was deeply saddened to learn of the horrific shooting at Sparks Middle School this morning. My administration is receiving regular updates, and the Nevada Highway Patrol is assisting at the scene.”
