KS Mobile Announces New CM Security Heartbleed Scanner App

KS Mobile Announces New CM Security Heartbleed Scanner AppKS Mobile, the makers of web and smartphone software that boost’s mobile performance, announced the release of the CM Security Heartbleed Scanner to protect Android smartphones from the Heartbleed Bug. The news follows the recent discovery that thousands of mobile applications are vulnerable to the virus that endangers sensitive personal data, such as the names and passwords of users. KS Mobile’s CM Security Heartbleed Scanner protects Android users by scanning all installed apps to detect any Heartbleed-infected apps and reminding users to change their passwords or delete any infected apps until the bugs are fixed.

The Heartbleed bug is a vulnerability that is present in the OpenSSL protocol, a popular encryption tool that is used to ensure private communication between the user and a server. Many mobile applications will communicate with web servers when validating account information or when transmitting personal data. The Heartbleed Bug has created a giant security hole that compromises users’ most sensitive personal data and account credentials.

“Heartbleed is one of the biggest web security events in recent history,” said Sheng Fu, CEO of KS Mobile. “While most organizations have been quick to respond to the issue, others have been dragging their heels and putting their users’ sensitive information at risk. Our new app, CM Security Heartbleed Scanner, informs our users what apps are still using vulnerable communications and advises them to stay away until they have been fixed.”

Mobile users can protect themselves from the Heartbleed Bug by using CM Security Heartbleed Scanner. KS Mobile developed the app using the same technology as CM Security, a security app rated #1 by AV-TEST that cleans all types of malware on devices and provides active protection from viruses. CM Security Heartbleed Scanner quickly scans and identifies whether or not mobile devices are vulnerable to the Heartbleed Bug.
