Milestone Systems Names Razberi Technologies Technology Partner of the Year 2013

Milestone Systems Names Razberi Technologies Technology Partner of the Year 2013Razberi Technologies, the  manufacturer of the patented ServerSwitch appliance, was named “Technology Partner of the Year 2013” during the ninth annual Milestone Systems Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS) partner conference in the Americas.

Milestone Systemsthe open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), hosted the MIPS and celebrated its 16th birthday at The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The confluence of 350 video surveillance professionals includes security equipment manufacturers, distributors, channel partners and integrated solution partners who gathered to learn, share, and brainstorm about the latest in video technology.

During the second day of events at the MIPS Gala Dinner, Milestone Systems awarded Razberi Technologies the Technology Partner of the Year 2013 award for its support of Milestone XProtect and Milestone Arcus software with Razberi ServerSwitch appliances.

“We are pleased to be recognized as a Milestone technology partner,” said Razberi Technologies President Tom Galvin. “Our open platform products help foster deeper integrations among all technology partners. Our technology offers a value proposition that, when combined with other technologies, provides scalability and flexibility in the security industry marketplace.”

The razberi  ServerSwitch replaces the traditional NVR server, storage devices, network switch and camera power supplies with a single appliance designed for IP video recording and management. The appliances include embedded Layer-2 Smart and Managed Switches with a simple browser user interface. Graphical interfaces show power consumption and data rates, while simple menus offer VLAN management and other features.

Each appliance delivers high PoE (802.3at) and includes SPF Combo ports to support fiber uplink transmission. Connecting IP cameras directly to the razberi appliance can reduce or eliminate video streaming on existing company networks.

The MIPS Technology Showcase highlighted 48 examples of interoperability with the Milestone open platform from Manufacturer Alliance Partners and Solution Partners in every facet of security implementations available today: video analytics and synopsis, access control, storage, laser scanners, geospatial positioning, network management, command center display walls, and more.

“Video enabling is happening now and becoming mission critical for value-added purposes in all vertical sectors, as a tool for daily business. It is being used for more than just security as integrations with analytics, biometrics, RFID and all kinds of business metadata are being incorporated into operations to realize innovative new efficiencies and more strategic approaches. This is something Milestone defined years ago in our mission and vision. With our international ecosystem of partners, we are well positioned to take advantage of this major business opportunity,” said Milestone Systems CEO Lars Thinggaard.
