iOS 8 Adds TouchID Support for All AppsHope you’re in the habit of keeping your iPhone’s operating system up-to-date and if you’re not, mark your calendars, because with iOS 8 coming this Fall, you won’t want to miss this.

Touch ID will be offering the unique benefit of API. Not only will TouchID be able to unlock your phone and buy apps, but API will allow enable other apps to use the fingerprint scanner on your iPhone for authentication.

Not to worry, though, your fingerprint data will still securely stored on the hardware and of course, your data will never be exposed to app developers.

This is Apple’s attempt to help you keep all your various accounts secure without having to create unique passwords of letters, numbers and special characters for each account you hold.
