StubHub the Victim of Cyber Fraud

StubHub the Victim of Cyber FraudStubHub, the online ticket resale service, was the victim of a massive international cyber fraud ring they announced today. Glenn Lehrman, head of global communications for the company, announced that they have been working with law enforcement around the world for the last year on the case.

Lehrman did not say how much money was involved or how many people were being charged in the case because authorities plan to announce arrests and numbers later today.

Hackers obtained user information from other sites and then used that information to log into StubHub, according to Lehrman.

“We did not have anyone who hacked into our system,” said Lehrman.

He also went on to say that a “pretty intense network of cyber fraudsters” was working together.

StubHub is owned by EBay Inc.
