SecurityTronix Announces New HD-coaxinator Online Storage Calculator

SecurityTronix is pleased to announce the online storage calculator for the HD-COAXINATOR line of digital video recorders. The calculator will join the growing number of helpful online tools on the support page of the SecurityTronix website: www.securitytronix.com/support.

The calculator provides an easy way to determine how much hard disk space is required, based on user inputs of the number of cameras used, length of storage desired and recording quality.

Jake Blake, SecurityTronix Technical Operations Manager stated, "The SecurityTronix HD-COAXINATOR line is the best way to achieve High Definition CCTV imaging and recording without the expense and hassle of an IP-based system. With the increased resolution comes increased hard drive usage and a way to know what size hard drive to install at a particular site. Our customers needed an easy way to determine the correct size of hard drive necessary to obtain various time periods of recording at their desired video quality level.”

The calculator is extremely simple and intuitive to use; simply enter the number of cameras being used, select a quality level, frames per second rate, hours per day of recording time and the calculator will simultaneously show the amount of time (in days) that the system will achieve for hard drive sizes ranging from 1 Terabyte to 8 Terabytes.
