Absolute Software Collaborates with HP to Secure New Education Devices

Absolute Software Corporation announced its Persistence technology will be installed in a new suite of HP’s mobile devices.

Absolute has provided educational organizations with the ability to remotely manage and secure deployed endpoints for more than 20 years. With Persistence technology installed at the factory, Absolute allows K-12 districts to efficiently track, manage, and secure these educational devices and effectively enable the 1-to-1 curriculum plans these devices support.

The new HP Education Edition tablets and notebook are specifically designed for classroom learning, providing all of the technology and services required for a comprehensive mobile solution. The devices also come preloaded with the HP School Pack, a set of instructional tools to help students learn and enable educators to teach more efficiently.

"Absolute is a trusted, long-standing ally that has supported HP’s efforts to deliver learning devices with world-class security infrastructure,” said Gus Schmedlen, VP of Education, Printing and Personal Systems, HP. "Persistence technology from Absolute allows HP and our channel partners to deliver secure, well-managed and effective education solutions.”

“We are thrilled to extend our alliance with HP and collaborate on these groundbreaking devices,” said Mark Grace, vice president Worldwide OEM and Business Development, Channel, at Absolute. “The role of technology in education continues to evolve and we are pleased to be able to extend our support in order to securely manage the newest and most efficient education tools.”

Absolute is proud to be a key sponsor of HP's Global Partner Conference from March 16-18 in Las Vegas, where both companies will be promoting the unique value of the School Pack program.
