AMAG Technology Adds Symmetry F2F Card Readers to Product Line Up

AMAG Technology, a worldwide provider of complete end-to-end security management solutions for access control and video management, now offers two Symmetry F2F card readers designed to complement the Symmetry SR Controller range of products.

The multi-technology, multi-frequency readers support supervised F2F protocol, which is a proprietary reader communication protocol and wiring scheme used by the Symmetry SR product, as well as by some legacy access control systems. The Symmetry F2F readers have a modular, compact design, and support a range of both proximity and smartcard technologies, making them an ideal choice for many locations, environments and applications.

When used with the Symmetry SR Controller range, customers will be able to expand and maintain their systems, and upgrade their outdated reader technology with the Symmetry F2F reader to retain system compatibility. The Symmetry F2F reader is compatible with existing F2F wiring infrastructure, making it the lowest cost solution for many applications.

“Offering Symmetry F2F readers provides options for customers looking to install the Symmetry SR Controller range of products or upgrade their legacy access control systems that currently support F2F protocol,” said AMAG Technology Product Manager, David Weinbach.

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
