2 Security Officers Shot 1 Dead in Maryland Overnight

The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. in Capitol Heights, Md.

Police are investigating a shooting that left one security guard dead and another injured early Friday morning. According to Prince George’s County police, the shooting occurred around 1 a.m. in Capitol Heights, Md.

A police department spokesman said the security guards were doing paperwork at their cars when the shooting occurred. They may have been targeted, though no motive is known at this time.

At this time, police are still looking for the suspect, who fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger.
