Tyco Security Products Partners with ADT

Tyco Security Products announced that its advanced intrusion products and technology will enable new interactive and smart home automation solutions for residential customers of ADT in the U.K. and South Africa.

The new interactive solution leverages the PowerMaster 360 intrusion gateway, Tyco Security Products’ revolutionary wireless intrusion solution. This innovative Internet of Things (IoT) platform allows ADT to offer its customers a home interactive service with IoT specialized hardware, increasing customer “stickiness” and recurring monthly revenue (RMR).

“Leveraging the interactive platform with the Tyco Security Products intrusion technology will enable us to provide an entirely new level of service and experience for our customers,” said Gail Hunter, director of marketing for ADT in the U.K. “Savvy consumers are increasingly interested in lifestyle management and connected home services, and the ADT solution, powered by Tyco Security Products, is the ideal solution.”

The interactive solution can be delivered as a packaged suite of services for home security, monitoring, automation and energy management on a single, integrated platform. It will deliver ready-to-use lifestyle management services to consumers -- allowing service providers to bring a new, seamless smart home experience to consumers.

“In concert with Tyco’s integrated data and smart services platform and IoT strategy, this latest offering strengthens our commitment to the development of security solutions,” said Tim Myers, director of product management, intrusion, Tyco Security Products. “We’re very pleased to be able to leverage ADT’s market strength in the UK and South Africa to further expand our footprint in the interactive security and connected home space.”
