Toshiba Sets New Standard for Outdoor Video Surveillance

Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., launched the IKS-WR7412 IP dome camera that delivers high-definition video in challenging outdoor applications, right out of the box. Twenty-four IR illuminators lend themselves to the capture of fine details in outdoor scenes with limited or non-uniform illumination. Add the fact that the camera is easy to install with its ONVIF compliance and 802.3af PoE, and you've got the perfect outdoor surveillance solution.

With its 3-axis gimbal, the IKS-WR7412 can be mounted on walls or ceilings, and images are easily leveled. No focusing is required as it comes factory-focused at delivery, while the camera's IP66 engineering is resistant to water, wind and snow, qualifying it as "outdoor ready" without requiring modifications or a protective housing. Its HDTV 1080p resolution and 90° horizontal angle of view makes it perfect for providing situational awareness of wide-area outdoor spaces such as parking lots, train stations, car dealerships and more. The latest advances in digital wide dynamic range and True Day/Night imaging enhancing technology deliver added detail in difficult lighting.

The IKS-WR7412 gives security professionals a flexible monitoring solution accessible on-site or remotely using the existing IP network or mobile devices. With robust features and rugged housing it provides the peace of mind end-users need at the cost they can afford.
