2016 World's Best Airports

SkyTrax World Awards has announced their newest list of the World’s Best Airports in Cologne, Germany on March 16. The airports are voted on by millions of travelers worldwide in a 9-month long survey.

Singapore won cinched the number one spot for the fourth year in a row, travelers seem to be pleased with the airport’s innovations, such as two 24-hour movie theatres screening the latest blockbusters for free, a rooftop swimming pool and a butterfly garden.

“To be named the World’s Best Airport by SkyTrax for the fourth year running is a significant achievement for Changi Airport and a clear affirmation that we continue to hit the right notes in our pursuit of service excellence,” airport CEO Lee Seow said in a statement released by SkyTrax.

This year’s top 10 hasn’t changed much from previous years, though the addition of Doha’s Hamad International Airport, from 22nd last year, marks the first Middle East Airport to join the ranks.

North American has failed, one year more, to fall in to the top ten.
