ZKTeco Hosts World Renowned Biometrics Expert at its Corporate Headquarters

Dr. Jain is one of the leading pioneers and scientists in the field of biometrics and also serves as a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Michigan State University

ZKAccess, a division of ZKTeco and leading provider of biometric and RFID security solutions, was pleased to host Dr. Anil Jain at its headquarters in Shenzhen, China on June 15, 2016. Dr. Jain is one of the leading pioneers and scientists in the field of biometrics and also serves as a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Michigan State University.

His research interests include pattern recognition, computer vision and biometric recognition and has received Guggenheim fellowshipHumboldt Research awardFulbright fellowshipIEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement awardIEEE W. Wallace McDowell awardIAPR King-Sun Fu PrizeIEEE ICDM Research Contribution Award, IAPR Senior Biometric Investigator Award, and the MSU Withrow Teaching Excellence Award for contributions to pattern recognition and biometrics. He is also a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering.

While at ZKTeco, Dr. Jain gave a presentation that summarized the history of biometrics, and current and emerging applications. Approximately 200 ZKTeco and ZKAccess staff attended the presentation, including the sales teams and scientists & engineers in the R&D department.

Dr. Jain has partnered with ZKAccess in the past. He tested and subsequently employed ZKAccess technology solutions for fingerprint recognition for infants and toddlers for the purpose of identification and recording their immunization histories. Additional collaborations are in the planning stages, following Dr. Jain's recent visit to the company's headquarters in China, where he had an opportunity to hear about ZKTeco's R&D efforts.
