Mike Botten Joins LVC Sales Team

Growth from 2016 carries over to 2017 with the addition of Mike Botten to the LVC sales team.

Growth from 2016 carries over to 2017 with the addition of Mike Botten to the LVC sales team.  An industry veteran, Mike joins LVC with a background rich in fire alarm and security sales.  Mike describes his start in the industry as accidental.  “I took a job selling advertisement for K-12 school activity calendars,” explains Mike.  “I was successful in selling one to a security company who offered me a job in addition to buying ad space.”

As Mike continued through his career, his success was no accident.  A combination of good firms and exceptional mentors allowed Mike to develop his craft as an industry expert for commercial fire alarm and security systems.  In addition to being viewed by clients as an expert, his success was recognized by his employers and rewarded with increased responsibility and progressive roles over the years.

Most recently, Mike was with a local company very similar to LVC and, as such Mike was familiar with the company through industry events and organizations.  “I always considered LVC to be one of my good competitors,” says Botten, “and ultimately a good fit because of the quality of the company and diverse nature of their offerings.”

When not punching the clock, Mike is the father of three children and devotes time to volunteering and coaching.  Mike is also an avid sports fan – the MN Wild being his favorite team.
