SALTO Systems, a leading manufacturer of electronic access control solutions, has appointed Adam Reed to the commercial sales team position of Western Regional Sales Manager.

Based in Long Beach, Reed will oversee sales of SALTO products in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii. He will report to SALTO Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales Michael J. Mahon.

“SALTO Systems is very pleased to welcome Adam to the sales team,” said Mahon. “His knowledge of the security industry and his familiarity with the West Coast will aid us greatly in our efforts to build upon our increasing successes in this important region.”

Prior to joining SALTO, Reed served as southwest regional sales manager for Aiphone Corporation where he managed security rep firms and sales employees; developed and implemented plans that consistently exceeded territory quotas; and worked closely with integrators, distributors, and end users in building and maintaining customer relationships. Reed also served as a regional sales manager for KBC Networks where he oversaw sales efforts for the Eastern United States and Canada, and gained extensive experience in training, auditing project installation sites, and industry trade show participation.

“I am very excited to be joining the SALTO family with their long-established commitment to developing quality and innovative access control products,” said Reed. “I see this as an amazing opportunity to provide electronic locking solutions that are modern, cost-effective, and designed with a simplicity that our customers are always seeking. I am looking forward to working with the entire SALTO team as we continue to positively impact this ever-changing industry.”

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
