ASSA ABLOY Announces Integration of Aperio Wireless Technology with ProdataKey pdk io Platform

ASSA ABLOY, provider of door opening solutions, today announced the integration of their Aperio wireless lock technology with ProdataKey’s pdk io cloud managed access control solution. The integration will allow dealers and integrators to deliver a more cost-effective and customized solution to help clients increase the security of their facilities.

Aperio wireless technology allows facilities to expand their access control footprint quickly, easily, and affordably. It uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system, simplifying installation and reducing costs. The ProdataKey pdk io solution has been integrated with the Aperio IP hub, allowing the use of existing IT infrastructure to connect up to 16 openings per hub.

Aperio is a global wireless platform available across a broad range of locking hardware from ASSA ABLOY Group brands, offering the flexibility to address a variety of applications throughout any facility. The Aperio integration provides ProdataKey an easy, cost-effective way to connect more openings as well as greater flexibility to support hard-to-secure openings such as lockers and cabinets with their pdk io platform.

ProdataKey’s pdk io solution delivers a complete cloud access control platform that provides comprehensive system management through any web connected device, using a variety of intelligent wireless and networked door controllers. Dealers and integrators will benefit greatly from the platform’s ability to provide full mobile configuration and management, as well as instant alerts on virtually any event, including power and battery supervision. The platform also provides 180 days of automatic cloud backup of all system data.

“Leveraging the Aperio technology to help our customers secure a broader range of openings at minimal cost allows us to provide more value than we have ever offered before,” stated Evan Tree, CEO, ProdataKey.

“The ProdataKey io solution is the perfect complement to Aperio. Our Aperio IP Hub is an easily deployed solution that offers ProdataKey customers significant benefits, including enhanced security, easy expansion and even greater flexibility,” stated Martin Huddart, President Access and Egress Hardware Group, ASSA ABLOY Americas.
