UK Hospitals Report Cyber Attack

Several British Hospitals say they are experiencing major computer problems as the result of a breach in cybersecurity.

Hospitals in the UK are dealing with major computer problems and downed phones as the result of an apparent cyber attack on Friday, May 12.

Hospitals in London, northwest England and other parts of the country are reporting problems with their computer systems and have asked patients to avoid hospitals unless it is an emergency.

NHS Merseyside tweeted that they have been hit by a suspected cyberattack and are taking measures to protect their systems and services.
Statements from plagued hospitals assure patients and citizens that IT professionals are working to fix the problem as soon as possible.
